yippee ("we", "us", "our") operates the yippee chat platform and web app at this domain. questions? reach us at [email protected].
2. what we collect
when you create an account and use yippee, we collect:
- account info — your username, email address, and password (stored securely and never in plaintext)
- messages & content — chat messages you send to yippee or other users, protected at rest
- uploaded media — images, audio clips, and files you share in chats, encrypted and stored on our servers
- voice data — if you use voice features, audio is processed in real-time for speech recognition and is not retained after the session ends
- usage & session data — authenticated session tokens, login timestamps, and in-app activity such as your mood and trust level with yippee
- payment info — if you subscribe to Voice Premium ($15/month), payment is processed by Stripe; we only store your subscription status, never raw card details
- customisation preferences — bubble style choices, chat backgrounds, and other UI settings
3. how we protect your data
- all messages and media are encrypted at rest using industry-standard symmetric encryption
- email addresses are stored in a protected, non-reversible form
- passwords are hashed using a modern algorithm and never stored in plaintext
- all traffic is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
- temporary voice and screen-share files are purged automatically and not retained after use
4. how we use your data

- to personalise yippee's personality, lore, and mood based on your conversations
- to deliver and manage Voice Premium subscriptions via Stripe
- to send transactional emails (e.g. password reset)
- to keep your account secure and detect abuse

your account data and messages are retained while your account is active. you may request deletion by contacting us at [email protected]. temporary voice and screen-share files are deleted automatically and not retained after use.

we use browser storage to maintain your session for auto-login. no third-party tracking cookies are used.
8. children's privacy
yippee is not directed to children under 13. if we become aware that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete their data promptly.
9. your rights
you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing [email protected].
10. changes to this policy
we may update this policy. continued use of yippee after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

1. acceptance
by creating an account or accessing yippee, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. if you disagree, please don't use the service.
2. eligibility
you must be at least 13 years old to use yippee. by registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.
3. your account
- you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure
- you must not share, sell, or transfer your account to another person
- you are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access
4. acceptable use
you agree not to use yippee to:
- harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- upload or share illegal, harmful, or sexually explicit content
- attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the platform
- impersonate yippee staff, developers, or other users
- use bots or automated tools to spam or flood the service
- violate any applicable laws or regulations
5. AI-generated content
yippee's responses are generated by Google Gemini. they may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. yippee is an AI — not a substitute for professional advice (medical, legal, financial, etc.).
6. voice premium subscription
- Voice Premium is billed at $15.00 USD/month via Stripe
- subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- to cancel, go to Settings → Subscription inside the app and click "cancel subscription" — your access continues until the end of the current billing period, then stops automatically. no further charges.
- you can also manage your payment method and billing history via the "manage billing" button in the same Subscription tab, which opens the Stripe billing portal
- refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion — contact [email protected]
- developer accounts receive Voice Premium at no charge
7. premium cosmetics (bubble styles)
premium bubble styles are one-time purchases. all sales are final. voice premium subscribers receive a 50% discount on cosmetic purchases. developers receive all cosmetics free of charge.
8. user content
you retain ownership of content you create. by submitting content (including pfp art via our submission form), you grant yippee a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use it within the service. pfp submissions will be credited as provided.
9. service availability
we aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. we may perform maintenance, updates, or shut down services with or without notice.
10. termination
we reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. you may delete your account at any time by contacting [email protected].
11. disclaimer of warranties
yippee is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. we disclaim all warranties including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12. limitation of liability
to the fullest extent allowed by law, yippee and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
13. governing law
these Terms are governed by applicable law. disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation; if unresolved, through binding arbitration.
14. changes to these terms
we may update these Terms at any time. continued use of yippee after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
